Tien Son cave - Phong Nha Ke Bang national park
Tien Son cave and Phong Nha cave are dubbed "marvel twin cave" in Phong Nha Ke Bang national park. The magnificent stalactites in Tien Son cave have surprised those come to admire.
According to the scientists, Tien Son cave was formed since millions of years ago. Originated by the water flow hollowed out in the limestone mountain, until the tectonic processes occur, this massif has been raised, then formed Tien Son cave at the top, and Phong Nha cave at the bottom with an underground river flows through. Therefore, Tien Son also called dry cave to distinguish with Phong Nha is water cave.
Tien Son cave entrance is located at an altitude of about 200 meters, with a winding road up on the mountainside. Passing about 330 steps is arriving the cave entrance, from here visitors can see the surrounding landscape like a beautiful valley, with rustic village and a peaceful meandering river, took water from the majestic Truong Son range.
Entering in Tien Son cave as entered the stalactite castle, with thousands of stalactites in lots of shapes, shimmering and fanciful colors. The arch of the cave is high, with the unique ridges, drop down the stalactite beams as the giant brush of nature.
Going further into Tien Son cave, also caught the sparkling marble columns with many strange shapes, easy to make visitors seem to enter fairyland. Especially, the rocks here are sound resonant, when tapping them will emit the sound of gongs as echo from the depths of earth.
