There are 52 true and associate mangrove species, 200 animal species, hundred fish, crab, shrimp species and bentos. If you’re looking for a relatively traffic-free route to explore by motorbike, Can Gio makes an interesting day trip.

Kayaking
You can kayak in the Can Gio mangroves, it's a great concept.

You can discover and fishing in a crocodile reserve.
Bird watching
Over 40 bird species including shore birds and migratory species have been found in this biosphere reserve. Start with a visit of the bird sanctuary and admire the landscape from the high bird viewing tower.

A guy with a speedboat will drive you through the Can Gio mangrove.
Wooden boat trip
You can paddle around the still waters of a lagoon aboard a small wooden boat.
Go to the beach
Can Gio is a low palm-fringed island sitting at the mouth of the Saigon River. It was formed from silt washing downstream from the river, so don’t expect any white-sand beaches. There are a few hopeful resorts have sprung up along the murky 10km shoreline and more are planned.
